I just checked this new app and I think it will be really beneficial. I have two dogs so to have this information at your fingertips is great. I love that you can make pet profiles and the best thing are the tips to include your pet in your emergency preparedness plan. I think that a lot of pet owners don’t think about what they will do with their animals if an emergency strikes. To know this is essential. Thanks for posting.

I am downloading that now! I think many people overlook first aid for their pets, because they just don’t know what to do. What a great idea! I love the pet hospital locator too. Thanks for sharing!

It`s so neat that such great, vital information regarding first aid pet care can be conveniently packed into an app and left readily available for when you really need it. Administering first aid is not just a skill you should have knowledge of in relation to your own kind alone, but if you have pets of your own, knowing how to handle your bundle of joy in an emergency situation goes a long way. I`m sure pet owners that come across this are going to simply love it.

This is definitely a useful app for others to download, especially when pets would be deemed as friends that can express unconditional love (or conditional love for the skeptics). Being prepared to save a human being is one thing, but also being able to save a pet or another animal is always a rewarding skill to develop. Thanks for mentioning this app, and I’ll be sure to check it out!

I *so* much agree that knowing first aid when it comes to pets is very important. That said, I truly need to learn a lot more than I already know… which I realize isn’t nearly enough.

Our cat has been diabetic for a few years now and that makes knowledge of first aid even more important for me. There were a few times I found myself searching for things on the ‘Net while basically panicking… and it would have been so much better to have known first aid before action was needed.

Chiming in with everyone else here to say that I’m so glad this sort of information is so readily available! As a pet owner, you have so much responsibility taking care of another life, and having the resources to recognize their health needs is one of the many important aspects of that! I also really like that it includes pets’ roles in emergency preparedness plans. When I think of major disasters and pets, I always wind up picturing that scene in “Independence Day” where the dog jumps out the way of a fireball at the last conceivable minute — not exactly a hallmark of disaster preparedness. Having a game plan would definitely make an awful situation a little easier.

Interesting. My cat likes to get into a lot of mischief and bother. She is quickly running out of her 9 lives so I may have to look into buying this to prolong her life!

    This is insanely cool.
I’m constantly having to wake up my vet at 3 am when one of my pups gets into something or gets sick.
Using this, I can at least see if it’s something serious or if I can take necessary steps to help.

I do not have any pets. However, I do think this app would be beneficial to people who do own pets. People love their pets so much so that they would do anything necessary to save their lives. They think of their pets like family, and you would not let you family member die if you had the ability to save their life. I have not seen the app but I know it must be better than having to call the veterinarian. Not to mention a vet bill can be so expensive, especially in off hours or if he has to come to you.
This app offers step-by-step emergency instructions as well as early warning sign of when to call your vet. It also has emergency preparedness plans which would be useful in times of disasters or even a fire in your home. I like the animal hospital locator option. This would be useful in finding the closest hospital, especially if you are new to the area. I will recommend this app to my friends who are pet lovers. They will be thankful.

Thank you so much for the information on this app. I have a lot of friends who have pets, and this possibly can save one of their lives. Whether it’s a step to take while transporting the pet or where there is a closer doctor open.
I hope to NEVER have to use this on my precious kitty, but you hope that about everyone in your life.
