How do i get my certification after I have completed my first aid?

    • John Furst says:

      Hello,

In order to download your certificate you need to make sure you have marked all the units as ‘completed’. They should all appear with a green tick next to them on the course homepage.

You can find out more on our help pages: https://www.firstaidforfree.com/help-faq/

Once you’ve marked all the units as completed you will be emailed a link to download your certificate. Please note this email may take a couple of minutes to arrive. If you do not receive an email then please check your ‘spam’ or ‘junk’ box.

      Yours sincerely,
      John & the firstaidforfree.com team

Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) is a lifesaving technique useful in many emergencies, including heart attack or near drowning, in which someone’s breathing or heartbeat has stopped.

  17. Fgonzalez94 says:

Hi there Mr. First. I already downloaded my CPR certificate but the school I work for says it needs an expiration date in order for it to be valid, at least for them. At first they said any website is fine, including this free one, but now they are saying they need an expiration date to validate it. Is there any way you can help me? I know most of them expire in two years but they insist that the date be printed on there. I thank you in advance.
    -Francisco

    • John Furst says:

      Hi there,

As there is no skills assessment our certificate does not have an expiry date. We would suggest reviewing the material every year.

      Thanks,
      John & the team

  18. Fgonzalez94 says:

*Furst. My phone autocorrected this thinking it was wrong.

  19. CcEast says:

As a veteran of the armed forces, we learn a lot of first aid techniques that focus more on hemorrhaging, fractures, so forth.

An acronym that stuck with me is “Really Bad Boys Should Find Better Habits”
    R: Responsiveness – B: Breathing – B: Bleeding – S: Shock – F: Fracture – H: Head Injury

Anyway, im working in a security company now and wanted some kind of certification in regards to the civilian approach of First Aid (Military equivalent is called CLS [Combat Life Savior]).Going through the program (Basic and Advanced First Aid at the moment) I found myself where I learned quite a bit. Could definitely use what I learned here and continue on what I learned from the past in my CLS training.

Medical, First Aid, Responders, and etc. has always been one of my top listed things that everyone should know. My presedence of situational assesment is “Life, Limb, and Property” in that order. Anyway, that doesn’t really matter and I’m ranting.

What i mean to say, in short. I wanted a generic certificate for the resume, but turns out i’ve learned a lot more than anticipated due to the level of “People Care” implemented into the program.

Thank you for setting this all up for the rest of us.

Brilliant refresher and more thank you so helpful x

  21. A good detailed refresher for me. One comment I would like to make is that the certificate to look more official with your signature and a mark of official creditation which I think it is worthy of. I have done various first aid at work courses since 2000 and this was well detailed and covered everything you need to know to be able to respond in an emergency.

Hello, course developer . Thanks for your effort. I really enjoyed and found the course very useful. But I am confused about wasp sting . Normally wasps won’t leave their stings . So you may be referring to honey bees who always leaves theirs stings

  24. Hadinataroslan says:

You have made the term KISS (Keep it simple, Stupid) materialized in this course. God Bless you mate. Solid simple materials.. better than being too scholarly or having Scholastic articles that confuses people more.. this is the best. Kinda sad that this is not accredited.. why not make a premium package learning account for the ones people can get certified online.. I’m sure people will pay for it if its worthy? now that MOOC’s culture is everywhere.. but hey, its just a thought… thanks again man.

  25. HadynA8 says:

Thankyou so much for offering us these courses. As a grandmother to my one year old grandson, I was concerned about not knowing what to do if his life was in danger. He keeps putting things in his mouth so I wanted to know how to help him in the event of an emergency. My friends who are foster parents had to learn First Aid and CPR. I wonder why it isn’t mandatory for everyone and all parents. This information was so useful! As a parent I probably should have learned this stuff too. Thank you again, you have helped us all immensely!!
